Ukrainian army blows up bridge ahead of advancing Russian army, video shows

the Ukrainian army released a video on Thursday allegedly showing his forces blowing up a bridge in front of advancing Russian troops.

The 13-second clip, which is shot in first-person view, shows soldiers hiding behind a vehicle before an explosion in the road ahead sends smoke billowing into the air.

“Operators of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces demonstrated skillful combat work. The bridge directly in front of the column of Russian occupiers was blown up,” The Ukrainian military said in a Facebook post. “To be continued… Let’s win together!”

It was not immediately clear where the footage was taken.

In another article providing an update on the fighting in Ukrainethe army said that “the Russian enemy is trying to continue offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts”.

Thursday noon in Ukraine, Russia now controls 80% of the Luhansk region, reports the Associated Press, citing its governor.

But the Ukrainian military says it continues to repel Russian attacks.

“Nine enemy attacks have been repelled in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts in the past 24 hours, one tank, ten armored units and two vehicles, one artillery system, two special engineer units, one anti-aircraft missile system and an enemy ammunition dump were destroyed,” he said on Facebook.

“The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit four aerial targets the day before: three unmanned aerial vehicles and a cruise missile,” the army added.
