LUBBOCK, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) — The following is a press release from The United Family:

The United Family has launched a cash donation campaign for Save the Children – Ukraine, a non-profit organization that provides relief to children affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

This cash donation campaign will take place at stores in Texas and New Mexico, including United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market and Amigos. As with previous give-at-checkout campaigns, customers will be able to add any dollar amount to their grocery bill at checkout. Proceeds will go directly to support Save the Children – Ukraine.

“Like so many people, we watched this tragic conflict unfold and wondered how we could help,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “We know many of our customers have the same feeling. This fundraiser is an opportunity for anyone who wants to help the people of Ukraine, especially children. The funds will be used to provide health care, food and other vital supplies while this conflict continues.

Save the Children works every day to give children a good start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis hits, Save the Children is one of the first organizations on the ground and one of the last to leave. For more information about Save the Children, visit the Save the Children website.
